For four seasons (2014 - 2017) I umpired in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Here is an article about my first game, and here is an article about my decision to step aside. In 2019 I returned to umpiring as the NSW/ACT coach for NEAFL goal umpires (in 2020 the season was suspended due to COVID-19), and a match-day coach for AFLW.
